Located in the Himalayan Mountains, the owners of the Shangri-La Leaf Factory buy leaves from small scale farmers that work as cooperatives. About 75% of them are Organic-Certified, and yes, this tea is organic! The factory was completed in 1999, right around the time that the tea crops were ready.
